AUTOMATED CLEANING TECHNOLOGY

There are basically two types of automation for tankcleaning offered by Scanjet. They are:

• Rotary spray balls (RSB)
• Rotary jet robots (RJR)

Working Principle of Rotary Spray Ball

The cleaning procedure starts when the valve to the cleaning media opens. When the valve is open the cleaning media flows trough the rotary spray ball and out into the tank. The flow of the cleaning media makes the nozzle rotate. When the valve to the cleaning media is closed the cleaning procedure is completed.

Working Principle of Rotary Jet Robot

The cleaning media flows through the machine to the nozzles and then out in the tank.The flow will pass over the turbine which actuates the gearbox.The gearbox is media-lubricated and does not require any oil or grease.The robot main body rotates and make the nozzle housing rotate. This movement creates a criss cross pattern inside the tank covering all angles in the tank.

SC Turbocip

The SC TURBOCIP is a water driven rotating nozzle. It’s made of stainless steel and is resistant to all common chemicals, including both hot and cold water. Easily mounted in any position, the SC TURBOCIP is available in standard models or according to customer’s specific demands. The SC TURBOCIP is used for cleaning/rinsing smaller kegs, IBC tanks, barrels, pipes, drums, small tanks, surface cleaning and other similar applications.

SC Velocip 20R & 40R

The SC Velocip family is a robust and very flexible type of tank cleaning robots specially designed for heavy industrial or offshore applications. Both the 20R and the 40R are available in fixed as well as portable versions. Being maintenance free, they can be used inside tanks with ease, as they can also be activated remotely using remote control. They are ideal for offshore drilling mud tanks.

SC 15TWR

SC 40TWR

The SC 15TWR is a tank cleaning robot specially developed for cleaning small to medium size industrial tanks. The SC 45TWR is a tank cleaning robot specially developed for cleaning medium to large size industrial tanks.

The SC 15TWR and the SC 45TWR could be used as fixed installed robots on a downpipe or as portable systems mounted on a hose with a hose saddle to move between different tanks/vessels. The size, construction and cleaning requirements of these robots are specially designed according to the requirements of the application, which is evaluated before installation.

SC 30T

The SC 30T is a tank cleaning robot specially developed for the cleaning of tanks where a single nozzle high impact cleaning is necessary due to highly sticked dirt/sediments. It can be driven by an integrated programmable drive unit, with very few moving parts requiring minimal service.

SC 50A

The SC 50A is a single nozzle tank cleaning robot specially developed for cleaning tanks,cisterns and vessels in hazardous ATEX classified areas. SC 50A consists of two main parts: one washing unit that is fixed installed in the tank and one portable air driven drive unit (SC 100, SC 100 PW or SC 180) for operation.

In operation, a portable drive unit, is mounted on top of the washing unit. The drive unit will move the nozzle(s) in a horizontal spiral cleaning pattern giving a single or crossing helical pattern with a perfect cleaning result.

SC HP3000

The SC HP3000 is a tank cleaning robot specially developed for cleaning smaller industrial tanks. The size, construction and cleaning requirements of this robots are specially designed according to the requirements of the application, which is evaluated before installation. The SC HP3000 could be used in a fixed installation as well as in a portable configuration.

SC 90 T2

The SC 90 T2 is driven by the cleaning media by means of a fixed installed turbine with an integrated programmable drive unit. The permanent lubrication means an oil-free drive unit and the patented magnetic transmission allow an exchange of the drive unit without exposing the tank to the outside atmosphere.

The single nozzle concept gives a very solid and powerful jet with an optimized cleaning result on all tank surfaces. It has a unique separated turning and lifting moment and a rapid manual overdrive for sector cleaning setting.

The nozzle assembly is self draining and the machine has a full 0-180 degrees cleaning range. The patented design is in accordance with IMO-Marpol requirements. Fully prepared for integration with WashTrac TM, our tank cleaning monitoring system.

WashTrac TM Tank Cleaning Monitoring System

The innovative tank cleaning monitoring system WashTrac, jointly developed by Scanjet Marine and Saab Rosemount improves the efficiency and control of the tank cleaning procedure. Shorter turn around time in port, increases the profitability. Overview in real time gives the operator full control of the tank cleaning procedure. With WashTrac there will be no downtime and no missed charters.

Each Scanjet Tank Cleaning machine is equipped with a sensor that indicates when the machine is running. The sensor is connected to the Saab TankRadar gauge on deck. There is no need for extra cabling in order to present the information on the Work Station. The Saab TankRadar gauge processes the sensors signals and the status are transferred to the Work Station via the Supply and Communication Unit (SCU).
