The GAMMAcast detectors are maintenance-free and applicable for most mould types. Successful applications can also be found in casters for beam blank and round moulds. Although working under extreme temperatures and harsh environmental conditions, these detectors are proven to be reliable for many years of operation.

CONGAUGE LB 6755 is a modern, high-tech radiometric detector, utilizing first-class sensoring technology to continuously measure both the liquid steel level and the thickness of the casting powder layer in a mould simultaneously during continuous casting.
The radiometric mould level measurement detector CONGAUGE LB 6755 has been designed in cooperation with SMS Concast and enables the control of automatic feeders for casting powder, reducing human intervention in a dangerous area.

The radiometric bulk flow measurement from Berthold is used to measure flow rates and throughput on all kinds of conveying systems. The major advantage of our systems is that the measurement performance remains stable even after years of operation with a repeatability of ±1 %, meaning there is no need to recalibrate with time. Due to the non-contacting nature of the measurement and the lack of moving parts, encrustations, dirt, wind and changing belt tension do not affect the bulk flow measurement.
Combined with the conveyor velocity signal, the mass flow rate is accurately determined without any negative influence from dust, temperature, vibrations, varying particle sizes or chemical properties of the measured material.
