Berthold Mini-Switch LB 471

The level switch measuring system LB 471 is used for point level measurements, providing either high level or low level alarm.
 
The Mini-Switch LB 471 is available with proven 2-wire technology. The measuring system includes a separate transmitter, ensuring easy calibration and operation as well as providing a local display of the output.

Berthold SENSseries LB 480 LS

The SENSseries LB 480 can be easily installed as a radiometric level switch on vessels and chemical reactors, even where other measurement systems reach their limits due to vessel geometry or measurement conditions. Our level switch measurement is used in all demanding industries. Wherever one or more limit levels of liquids or bulk solids are monitored, our contactless level measurement can be used, even with very thick-walled or large containers.

SENSseries LB 480 level measurement is particularly suited for demanding measuring tasks in safety-related applications. This line offers detectors certified for use in SIL 2 systems. Berthold is the first manufacturer of SIL certified radiometric level, level switch (min./max. alarm) and density measurement systems. SIL 3 can be achieved with the redundant installation of two LB 480 SIL 2 systems.

High reliability is supported by important diagnostic functions, such as permanent monitoring of the detector functionality by crosschecking the cosmic background radiation and much more. This guarantees outstanding operational safety.
Cosmic radiation control also makes it possible to keep the required source activity very low. 
Berthold's LB480 SIL model is unique in the radiometric gauge market for being certified for density and low level switch measurements, in addition to high level switch and continuous level measurements.
