The Bopp & Reuther Compact Dosing Control Series MDS-PLC is a fully integrated controller for precise dosing and filling processes, designed to handle both flowmeter and valve control in compact or small-scale filling machines. Developed from over 30 years of Bopp & Reuther’s expertise in filling applications, this controller delivers high-speed performance, accuracy, and simplicity in one space-saving unit.

With built-in configuration and visualization functions, the MDS-PLC manages the entire filling operation — including parameter setup, valve actuation, data display, and dosing correction. It operates autonomously without the need for an external PLC, allowing machine manufacturers to easily integrate accurate dosing control into their systems and reduce engineering complexity.

The MDS-PLC supports up to four flowmeters or counters (e.g., electromagnetic, mass, or oval wheel meters) and four valve outputs, making it ideal for multi-channel dosing applications. Equipped with a high-speed counting input (100 kHz), overflow correction, and maximum dosing time protection, it ensures consistent performance even in fast-filling systems.

The Bopp & Reuther MID-Terminal Type XV102 is an intelligent and compact touch panel interface developed exclusively for use with the Bopp & Reuther MID-MDS dosing system. Designed to simplify setup, control, and monitoring, it provides seamless parameterization, visualization, and operation of multiple filling points in automated filling systems.

This terminal supports up to 12 or 48 filling points, making it ideal for both small-scale and large-scale production environments. Through its 7-inch TFT-LCD resistive touchscreen, operators can configure and monitor critical dosing parameters such as filling amount, overflow correction, tolerance control, and maximum filling time shutdown.

The MID-Terminal automatically performs overflow correction for each filling point and triggers valve shutoff when the maximum fill time is exceeded — ensuring optimal filling precision and system safety. Fillings can be started or stopped manually via the touch panel or externally through digital inputs, allowing flexible integration into various process setups.
