Batch / Ratio Controllers

Contrec Batch / Ratio Controllers are renowned for their accuracy and reliability in dispensing and measuring precise ratios of fluids and additives across various industries. They have been widely adopted, with over 50,000 instruments in operation globally, setting the benchmark for competitor products.  Contrec offers two main series of batch controllers to cater to different application complexities:

400 Series: Ideal for tasks involving Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC), drum filling, and food processing applications.
515 Series: Suitable for more intricate batching requirements

The 515 BR01 application is a batching ratio controller designed for delivering predetermined quantities at preset ratios using volumetric frequency inputs. It offers batch control in preset or on-off modes, and flow control can be configured to various loop control modes. This application provides operators with a clear local readout, including flowrate deviation, and can be controlled via communications in more automated systems. Additionally, quick access to commonly used preset values is available from the front panel if authorized. The PI control of the process flow is achieved through a 4-20mA proportional valve or pump controller, incorporating integral windup protection, deadband, output hold, and programmable ramp time to reduce wear on valves and actuators while enabling bumpless operation.

The 515 BR03 application is a batching ratio controller designed for delivering predetermined quantities at preset ratios using mass frequency inputs. The 515 BR04 application is a batching ratio controller designed for delivering predetermined quantities at preset ratios using mass analog inputs. The 515 CR02 application, which is a single loop process controller used for measuring volume flow in main and process lines using analog flow inputs. It offers various operating modes such as local (manual) and loop, ratio, or blend (auto) flow control modes. The tuning menu allows for easy determination of Proportional Band and Integral Time values for the PI control algorithm.

The controller uses main and process flows to calculate the net volume flow, and the operator can view the actual ratio and deviation while also having the ability to change the controlling setpoint directly from the main menu if authorized. Additionally, the PI control of the process flow is achieved via a 4-20mA proportional valve or pump controller. Integral windup protection is included, and operators can program a deadband and output ramp time to reduce wear on valves and actuators, providing bumpless operation.
