Field Mounted Indicators

Precision Digital manufactures a wide range of field-mounted indicators and controllers that are suitable for harsh and hazardous environments. They can be easily mounted to pipes, walls and other surfaces in your facility, inside or outdoors. These meters feature either rugged NEMA 4X safe area enclosures or FM, CSA, ATEX, IECEx approved explosion-proof enclosures. Field mounted loop-powered meters can be installed in areas with limited access to additional power because they derive their power from the 4-20 mA loop. Many of these meters feature large digits and sunlight readable, wide angle displays.

PD6730X Vantageview NEMA 4X Modbus Scanner

The Vantageview PD6730X is a plastic, field-mounted, RS485 serial input Modbus® RTU scanner capable of scanning up to 16 Modbus variables and displaying them on an easy-to-read, dual-line, LCD display. It can be programmed as a Modbus RTU master, slave, or snooper. The PD6730X is available in two upper display line configurations: 5-digit decimal display and feet & inches display with bar graph. The lower line is the same for both versions and consists of seven alphanumeric characters. Two features that really make the PD6730X stand out are its wide viewing angle display and SafeTouch® through-window buttons.

These buttons allow the PD6730X to be programmed and operated through the cover window, thus eliminating the need to remove the cover in dirty or wet environments.

PD6938-GP VantageView+ NEMA 4X Pulse Input Flow Rate/Totalizer

The PD6938 VantageView+ pulse input flow rate/totalizers can be installed in a variety of areas (dirty, wet, corrosive, hot, or cold) to provide convenient and informative display of flow rate and total from any pulse output flowmeter. These instruments will accept a variety of pulse inputs, including slow pulse rates. They can be powered from a battery, 9-30 VDC, or the 4-20 mA output loop, have on-board datalogging capabilities, and can be ordered with optional 4-20 mA output and two relays. The PD6938, with the addition of its two optional relays, can also be used as a simple batch controller.
 
The PD6938 VantageView+ comes in a NEMA 4X, IP66 plastic enclosure that is designed for easy use and installation. There are three 3/4" NPT threaded conduit holes available for wiring. Two 3/4" NPT plastic conduit plugs are included.
 
Free, PC-based, MeterView XL software that connects to the meter via a micro-USB cable is available for programming and setup of the instruments. Four CapTouch through-window buttons are available to operate the instrument without removing the cover.
 
All models come equipped with two open collector outputs and a digital input. There are also models available with Modbus RTU RS-485 communications, two solid-state relays, and isolated 4-20 mA analog output options.

PD6928-GP VantageView+ NEMA 4X Loop-Powered Flow Rate/Totalizers

The PD6928-GP loop-powered flow rate/totalizers include a NEMA 4X, IP66 plastic enclosure and can be installed in a variety of harsh operating environments to provide convenient and informative display of any 4-20 mA signal. One of the most convenient features of these instruments is their dual-line display which is typically used to display the flow rate on the 5-character alphanumeric top display and flow total, flow grand total, or a tag on the 8-character alphanumeric bottom display. The top display uses 12-segment, and the bottom display uses 14-segment alphanumeric characters for clear indication of tags, units, or alarm messages.
 
Further enhancing the display on these instruments is a 20-segment bargraph.
 
The four CapTouch through-window buttons located on the front of the meter provide a convenient way to operate the meter without removing the cover.

The PD6908-GP loop-powered process meter and PD6907-GP feet & inches level meter include a NEMA 4X, IP66 plastic enclosure and can be installed in a variety of harsh operating environments to provide convenient and informative display of any 4-20 mA signal. One of the most convenient features of these instruments is their dual-line display which is typically used to display the process variable on the 5-character alphanumeric top display and the units of measure or a tag on the 8-character alphanumeric bottom display. The feet & inches models display level in feet and inches on the top display and the bottom 8-character alphanumeric display can be used to display a tag or custom message.
 
The VantageView+'s 14-segment alphanumeric characters on the bottom display line provide a much clearer indication of tags, units, or alarm messages than 7-segment characters do.
