NUFLO TA-1000+ Temperature Averager

The NUFLO TA-1000 PLUS temperature averagers serve as alternatives to Flow Computers on liquid hydrocarbon custody transfer LACT measurement skids. They are designed to totalize the flow from a mass or volume flow meter and calculate the flow-weighted average temperature. Additionally, they can handle up to two additional input variables such as BS&W, density, or pressure as standard features. This data is collected and utilized in equations to accurately calculate the net volume of transferred hydrocarbons.

The NUFLO TA-1000 Plus Temperature Averager is designed to receive pulses from a flow-measuring device, such as a positive displacement (PD) meter. Upon receiving each pulse, it measures the temperature, incorporates it into a rolling counter, calculates the average flow-weighted temperature for the batch, and displays the result.

The accumulated probe count can be reset to initiate a new batch. Additionally, it features two fail-safe relay output contacts that trigger an alarm if a temperature probe fails, if a temperature falls outside the acceptable range, if the processor malfunctions, or if power is severely depleted or cut off. If the TA-1000 Plus is equipped with analog inputs, the relay output will also signal an out-of-range input. With the net pulse output option, the device can transmit a compensated volume to another device.

The TA-1000 Plus utilizes a single-thermistor probe, providing highly accurate measurements without the need for periodic recalibration. It is available in a CSA-approved explosion-proof or weatherproof package and can be powered with either 120 VAC or an 8 to 30 VDC power supply. Both single-channel and dual-channel versions are available.
