Inline ultrasonic retrofit systems can be installed onto existing pipes making it a cost-effective solution, which is mostly used for large pipe sizes. They are suitable for a variety of applications. The complete system is delivered with all the components needed to mount the sensor. It is a solid construction with no moving parts for a 100% maintenance and obstruction free flow measurement.


The SITRANS FSS100 transit time-based ultrasonic flowmeter is specifically designed for retrofitting on existing pipelines, offering the flexibility to set up a high-precision inline flow meter on-site when paired with SITRANS FST030 or FST020 transmitters. The kit comes with necessary parts and special tools for installation, allowing for a 1- to 4-path flowmeter setup, and it is tailored for installation on empty pipes. The in-line transducers, which come into contact with the media, ensure superior accuracy and performance.

Additionally, the SITRANS FSS100 sensor kit is compatible with transmitters SITRANS FST020 and FST030, providing versatility in system configuration.

SITRANS FST020 is designed to provide a simple and cost-effective solution for flow measurement when used with FSS100 inline and FSS200 clamp-on sensors. Its digital platform, based on Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, offers high measuring performance, fast response to flow changes, and high immunity against process noise. Additionally, it provides standard parameter measurements such as volume flow, flow speed, or sound velocity through analog outputs and Modbus communication. This seems like a versatile and efficient tool for flow measurement applications.

The SITRANS FST030 is a versatile transmitter compatible with both the FSS200 clamp-on sensors and the FSS100 inline sensors. When used with the FSS100 sensors, the 7ME381 sensors need to be ordered separately. This transmitter enables true multi-parameter measurements, including volume flow, standard volume flow, density, mass flow, fluid sound velocity, and temperature. Its multiple outputs and bus communication allow for instantaneous or periodic reading of primary process information as required by plant operations.

Notably, the FST030 can be used with the FSS100 sensors (SONOKIT), and to create a SITRANS FS130 system, the SITRANS FST030 transmitter and FSS100 sensors must be ordered separately. The FSS100 sensors are individually tested and quality-controlled, eliminating the need for pairing or calibration with an FST030 transmitter. The flexibility and comprehensive measurement capabilities of the SITRANS FST030 make it a valuable tool for various flow measurement applications.
