SIEMENS SITRANS FVA 250 Variable Area Flowmeters

The flow measurement with the SITRANS FVA250 operates on the float principle. As the flowing medium lifts the conical float in the measuring ring, the ring gap expands until an equilibrium is reached between the buoyant force of the medium and the float's weight. The float's height directly corresponds to the flow rate. The float's movement is then conveyed from one magnet to another in the display unit located outside the measuring tube.
