Additionally, grounding cables are employed to dissipate parasitic currents. These components are crucial for ensuring the proper functioning and accuracy of the scale.


SIWAREX DB Digital Junction Box

The SIWAREX DB serves as a digital junction box, offering advanced diagnostics and monitoring capabilities when used alongside SIWAREX WP weighing electronics. Its individual channel monitoring enables precise identification of error states such as wire break and overload. When connected to a SIWAREX WP electronic weighing system, the integration within the SIMATIC world is seamless, allowing for efficient and reliable operations.

SIWAREX DB Analog Junction Box

The JB junction box, available in aluminum or stainless steel, is essential for the parallel connection of load cells. It allows for a maximum of 4 load cells to be connected in parallel within a single junction box. However, if more than 4 load cells need to be connected and an aluminum junction box is used, a second junction box must be connected in parallel via a cross-connection. An expansion set is necessary for this purpose. The cross-connection enables the connection of up to three load cells in the first junction box and up to four load cells in the second junction box. This setup ensures flexibility and scalability in load cell connections.

SIWAREX EB Extension Box

The EB extension box serves to extend load cell connecting cables. While load cells can be connected in either 4-wire or 6-wire systems, the cable connection to the weighing module or JB junction box must always be in 6-wire systems. It is recommended to use the 7MH4 702-8AG or ...-8AF SIWAREX connection cable for this purpose.
In cases where load cell cables are extended to a JB junction box, the M16 x 1.5 cable glands on the box must be replaced. For each load cell, the following is required:
  • An EMC cable gland M20 x 1.5
  • 1 extension M16 x 1.5 male thread to M20 x 1.5 female thread.
This ensures proper cable extension and connection.
