Rotary Paddle Level Switch

SITRANS LPS200, which is a rotary paddle switch designed for point level detection in bulk solids. This technology is capable of detecting full, empty, or demand conditions for materials such as grain, feed, cement, plastic granulate, and wood chips. Additionally, the paddle switch can handle bulk densities as low as 15 g/l (2.19 lb/ft³) with the optional hinged vane or 100 g/l (6.25 lb/ft³) with the standard measuring vane

The SITRANS LPS200 serves as a rotary paddle switch specifically designed for point level detection in bulk solids. This technology is adept at detecting full, empty, or demand conditions in materials such as grain, feed, cement, plastic granulate, and wood chips. Notably, it can handle bulk densities as low as 15 g/l (2.19 lb/ft³) with the optional hinged vane or 100 g/l (6.25 lb/ft³) with the standard measuring vane.
The switch operates through a low revolution geared motor with slip clutch, driving a rotating measuring vane. As material makes contact with the rotating paddle, rotation halts, triggering a change in the microswitch state. Once the material no longer covers the paddle, rotation recommences, and the relay returns to its normal condition. The LPS200 boasts a rugged design tailored for harsh conditions in the solids industry. Its paddle sensitivity can be adjusted to accommodate varying material properties, such as buildup on the vane.
Offered in compact, extended, and cable extension configurations, the LPS200 is equipped with a standard vane effective in most applications. Additionally, it can be configured with a hinged or rectangular vane to enhance sensitivity for light materials.
